Davey went to medical school full of high ideals and dreams about coming back to the farming community in which he lived to help care for the sick. However, bitterness over jibes from fellow students, plus ambition, plus a flattering opportunity to specialize and so become prominent almost overnight, all this changed Davey's point of view. His quick temper and his certainty that he was ALWAYS right got him into some very tight corners and at one point almost lost him his interneship. However, a certain Dr. Janet Field, young, lovely, and also an interne, opened Davey's eyes to his mistakes in point of view and also to his dangerous stubborness.
Just what did the young doctor do? Here is a story so full of serious thought, quick action and often hilarious fun that no young person reading it will be able to stop short of the last page. Any boy or girl contemplating medicine as a career will find it especially fascinating for without being a "career book" as such, it is packed with authentic material presented in gay and realistic terms; and an extremely satisfactory little romance adds just the right ending.
