Can the Earth Survive the Mass Animal Extinction that Threatens Mankind?

As the world‘s livestock begins to die off in a sudden mass extinction, USDA scientist Jack Zarifis‘ life is thrown into chaos as he frantically tries to track down the elusive pathogen that is killing off one species at a time, while at the same time attempting to hold together his shattered marriage and cope with his ever expanding non-scientific management role within the agency.

White-hot tensions flare and suspicions begin to mount between governments and citizens alike as the world careens toward an inevitable conflict. Officials from around the world scramble to find answers to the mounting problems but continue to come up empty-handed.

Meanwhile, a like-minded set of four scientists on the International Space Station are tasked to solve the riddle before all of the planet‘s food sources are gone.
