Another Look at the Rapture

Dr. Kenneth E. Hagin says about this book: Not since the Second World War has there been such interest in Bible prophecy. Always in perilous times, men and women yearn to know what lies ahead, both for them and for their country. Dr. Hicks has done the modern Church a great service by plunging into the murky waters of prophecy teachings and coming up with scriptural treasures that clarify exactly what the Bible teaches about the end times. Many years ago in my own studies, I came to the same conclusions he has regarding Paul's special revelation about the "catching away" found in 1 Thessalonians 4:17. Readers also will be blessed by Dr. Hicks' brilliant research on the Greek word apostasia, which he outlines in Chapter 4. Even though some of Dr. Hicks' teachings can be found to be controversial, his book merits careful study, because it counteracts prevalent teaching that creates fear and confusion among modern-day Christians and robs them of their blessed hope. Many are teaching that the Church must go through the Tribulation. They say, "Going through the Tribulation will purify the Church." Jesus said, Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you (John 15:3). Paul taught about being cleansed with the washing of water by the word (Eph. 5:26). Therefore, I stand solidly with Dr. Hicks in declaring to the modern Church that Jesus — not the Tribulation,” is the One Who is going to sanctify us, cleanse us, and present us, without spot or wrinkle, unto the Father God. It is Jesus Who is going to do that, not the Devil, and not the wrath of God, for He has delivered us from the wrath to come!
