Laura Poole’s house was supposed to be a safe zone, a place to heal following an ugly divorce. But after a perfect beginning, her cozy home in a small Nevada town is no longer safe. The nightmare starts when Laura realizes someone has been getting into her house while she’s at work. The police find no evidence of forced entry, nothing is missing, and Laura’s increasingly erratic behavior raises questions about her emotional state.

Unable to trust herself and unwilling to trust anyone else, Laura begins her own investigation into the increasingly bizarre intrusions. The only person who might help is Scott Eastwood, a recently-widowed father of two who stirs feelings she’d thought were dormant. Laura wasn’t looking for romance, though a little comfort would be nice if the complications can be managed. But her determination to force a confrontation with the mystery stalker triggers a new cascade of events in a nightmare that just keeps getting worse.
