Anna McColl wants to help - that's why she became a psychologist. But as Anna is to discover not everybody wants to be helped. It is now several months since social worker Karen Plant was murdered in her Bristol flat. The prime suspect was a simple-minded client of Karen's, but before the case could come to court the young man hanged himself. His grief-stricken sister is convinced of his innocence and when she is referred to Anna for bereavement counselling she begs her to find the real killer.
