[Vigil Voronto 01] • Burden of the Blessed

On my home planet of Telshakra, the Church forcibly controls everything: food, water, shelter, and even people. At the heart of the Church’s power and authority is a disciplined army of divinely gifted warriors known as shepherds. Blessed with considerable supernatural and paranormal powers, the shepherds utilize both the physical and intellectual elements of the universe to serve and defend the gods...and I was unwillingly destined to join them.

When I was a boy, my mother and sister were murdered by the Church of Telshakra, and, not long after that, the Church came for me, too. I was abducted by a man named Shepherd Machoji and brought to a place called the Shepherd Academy. There, I would come to learn the dark truth about the gifts given to me as a child, and the reality behind a secret war that nobody on Telshakra even knew existed.
