Daniel has no time to figure out why he lost control over his powers, or why breaking the rules merits death in his case. All he can focus on is running away to survive, which isn’t easy when Kismet shatters his heart by deciding to stay.

Incensed and more than a little resentful over this turn of events, Daniel joins the Immortals, an enemy tribe with different powers and a strict warrior code whose mission is to wipe the Children of the Sun off the face of the earth. There he meets Piper, a pretty 17-year old blonde who is wise beyond her years.

But when he learns of an imminent danger that could mean the death of his Kismet, Daniel risks it all. At the same time, his powers grow stronger in ways he doesn’t fully understand. But Daniel doesn’t have the strength- or the knowledge -necessary to fight these dark cravings. All he cares about is saving his lost love, even if this means losing everything once again.
