The plague of the soul

It is written in the year 1521, it is the time of Henry VIII. When things happened in London that frighten the citizens. The city is full of rumors. Young pupils and students kill themselves because they have lost faith in God and can no longer see a way to live in the remaining nothing. Sir Thomas Morland, the king's under-treasure chancellor, is charged with investigating this "plague of the soul". His daughter Margaret and boarding school student Andrew are passionately in love. But they can only meet in secret because Sir Thomas is strictly against the connection. Andrew is uncomfortable, especially since he and his friends from the secret society "The Blackfrairs Seven" are also investigating the mysterious deaths.
