Alexia is a woman with more than a handful of skeletons in her closet. With a difficult boss, neighbors from hell, and a sense that she's somehow different, her everyday life does little but grind her down. However, she's soon to discover that her troubles are only just beginning, and she'll have to draw upon sources of power and magic she never dreamed she possessed, in order to ensure her survival and discover her true purpose.

Following a series of shocking twists and discoveries, tinged by tragedy and in which Alexia's horizons are broadened to unimaginable lengths, she finds herself plunged into a world of myth and magic, and warlocks, witches, gods, and demons. Who can be trusted? Who - or what - is pursuing her, and filling her mind with dreams of her own demise? What part does she have to play in the fate of a world she never knew existed? All of these questions are thrust upon Alexia as she awakens herself, her inner strength, and a source of mystic power that takes her through past lives, into occult and arcane worlds, and lays her destiny out before her.
