The earlier life and letters of Walter H. Page 1855-1913. This work's purpose is to complete the biography of Water H. Page. Page's life in the United States was of great interest and great significance. It was an era that witnessed the transformation of the backward Civil War South into a progressive part of the united country and Page played an important role in this transformation. He was a partner in the publishing company of Doubleday, Page and Co. and wrote several books, some under the pseudonym Nicholas Worth. This biography takes us up to the time that Page was an ambassador to Great Britain, when he urged the United States to intervene in World War I.
