What if you were running out of time for happiness? One moment Grace Cavendish is living with her husband Charlie, trying for a baby and working with her beloved horses at family-run, racing stable, Farriers Reach. The next she is husbandless and heartbroken with dreams of motherhood in tatters – and in danger of losing her treasured childhood home. It is Grace’s highly-strung yet affable grandmother Clara who comes to the rescue, taking Grace under her wing alongside a variety of waifs and strays, including Grace’s cousin, Hennie.
