A Lady so Fair

Claudia should have been happy. A position with a prestigious law firm, a long string of successful cases, the admiration of her colleges... it was a successful life by some measures... and an utterly empty one in every way that mattered. Desperately unhappy, she passes her days in misery, until she wins a case involving a powerful new technology.

Even she isn't sure just why she undergoes the process; a desire for a fresh beginning, or a long-delayed rebellion against a life she's grown to hate. Either way, she takes the plunge, and finds herself seeing things no one else can--strangers who are watching her, people who seem, somehow, to be MORE than people.... And then one of her delusions, an oddly attractive apparition, begins to speak to her....
