When the Martians came, They were not little green men or hideous two-headed monsters. They were human beings—and their skin was black.

The few remaining inhabitants of Earth—an Earth which had suffered one violent physical catastrophe after another—huddled in a tiny colony in the lush green land that had once been Antarctica. Their skin was white.

The Martians, with their ultrascientific weapons and their contempt for the “primitive” Earthman, posed an immense and immediate threat. But there was also a growing love between one white Earth-man and one black Martian woman, Kymri and Mirlena. And love can change anything … perhaps… .
