If you were cut off hundreds of miles apart from your children when the grid went down across the entire world, and with only hours to spare, what lengths would you go to find them?

That's the exact question facing parents William and Sally Chandler when an EMP goes off while vacationing in their getaway cabin out in the Montana countryside, cutting them off from their children Cole and Jenny who are left hundreds of miles away back home.

With no way of getting in touch with their children and with the world around them plunging into chaotic darkness, William and Sally are forced to embark on a harrowing journey alone and on foot to try and find their children.

Meanwhile, as their once normal town is turned into a war zone as people begin turning on one another like savages, Cole and Jenny decide to set out on their down harrowing journey to try and find their parents.

But things get complicated when Jenny is gravely injured following an attack, and with hostile forces lurking behind seemingly every tree and around every hillside, the chances of William, Sally, Cole, and Jenny ever being reunited again appear remote.
