So much could change in a moment, a lot can change in five years.

Five years, that’s how long it’s been since I’ve seen Jared. Five years to the day when I was dragged from his arms kicking and screaming. Now, after years of putting my life back together, I have to face my abusers. But having a chance to see Jared again, makes it all worthwhile.

When I finally see Jared, the impact is more than I could have imagined, the connection that we shared feels stronger, but seeing him also brings back my past. A past I would rather forget.
