Shattered Dreams

The day I married the love of my life I was certain it would be forever. It was as easy as breathing, saying our vows in front of family and friends, promising to love each other for the rest of our lives.

But then came the hard part, the part where you realize that nothing in life is simple—not even love.

Drew and I drifted apart, and seven years later the same man who asked me to marry him, asked me to walk away.

Now, as I sit on a plane, running from everything that’s wrong in my life, I’m trying to pinpoint the exact moment it happened—the moment everything went wrong. But I can’t figure it out. I don’t know when it all fell apart.

All I know is, somehow, I need to figure out how to breathe without the man I’ve shared the biggest part of my life with. If I have any chance of surviving this storm, I need to find the woman I was before him.
