The Wrong Lawyer

Tom Kennedy is a retired Canadian lawyer with only one friend, fellow retiree Jim Corbett, and they bicker and insult each other like a couple of teenage brothers.

When a budding romance with two sisters goes well for Jim but badly for Tom, depressed Tom heads off alone on a trip to Las Vegas.

Instead of enjoying a pleasant holiday getting slowly hammered while playing the slots, Tom winds up in the wrong place at the wrong time and is dragged into the world of intrusive government surveillance in the guise of preventing terrorism and fighting ISIS.

The extent to which the US government spies on Tom and makes his life miserable would make even Edward Snowden blush.

The result is a riveting tale of adventure and guile with touches of humor thrown in.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Donald W. Desaulniers is a Canadian lawyer who operated his law practice in the beautiful city of Belleville, Ontario from 1973 until his retirement in 2009. He obtained a B.A. (Majoring in Philosophy) in 1968 from University of Waterloo, and in 1971 graduated from University of Western Ontario Law School with his LL.B.

Still residing in Belleville with his lovely wife, Jane and their cats, Donald began writing as a retirement hobby and has published more than two dozen novels on Amazon. He takes great delight in poking fun at the legal profession that everyone loves to loathe.
