Mike Jackson stared at his monitor and said, “Elder, what’s going on?”

“I’m going to allow you to hear what the Supreme Talon is saying to his military leaders.”

“WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT THIS NEW WARSHIP!?!”

“Supremacy, we’ve been working on a new major warship anticipating they would develop something like this.”

“And?”

“One of our scientists has discovered that it is possible to create a force field around our large warships.”

Mike instantly sat up straight in his chair, “OH CRAP!!”

“Did you say a force field?”

“Yes Supremacy. The scientist stumbled on it when he was looking at a means of fine tuning our stardrives. At a specific frequency, the stardrive field becomes a force field. We’ve been building that new development into our transports and they will be capable of withstanding this new warship the enemy has developed.”

“What about putting it on our small advanced warships?”

“That is going to take more time; the reactors on them aren’t powerful enough to create a field strong enough to withstand the enemy’s blasters…yet.”

Another Military Leader added, “We’re currently converting the reactors in our advanced warships, but it is going to take a lot of time to convert our fleets to the new technology. However, our transports are strong enough that when the enemy attacks, we will destroy them down to the last ship and then move on their galaxy.”

The Supreme Talon thought about what he just learned as another Military Leader interjected, “We’ve also found a way to use the New Frequency Scanner on all of our ships. We’ve reduced the power needed to make it function and all of our vessels are now using it. The range of our scanners will be greatly increased and that issue of having undetectable ships scouting us will be resolved. We still don’t know who has been sending those scouts but that should be answered shortly.”

Mike looked at Gregory, “Send out orders to all of our scouts in and around M-87 to get out immediately! Elder, get this information back to Andromeda and the Union!”

“Sending the conversation now.”

“Elder, will they be able to detect your ship?”

The Elder hesitated and said, “I’m detecting a large number of warships moving out from M-87 in my direction. I’m jumping away and I’m ordering the other three Elders to do the same.”

Mike shook his head and thought, this war has taken a turn for the worse. They were losing their stealth advantage and if M-87 quickly won this war against M-85… Andromeda and the Milky Way were in great danger.
