THE ALPHA CENTAURI PROJECT SCRIPT

A reader of "The Alpha Centauri Project" wondered if the story was initially written as a screenplay and later adapted into a novel. Another told me that his first thoughts after reading was how gorgeous it would be in an animated or motion picture format. A third one pointed out that uncommon visualization is an extreme sport that requires daring, controlled thought, and the ability to overcome barriers within the mind, imposed by current societal norms...

Now, after the novel, I have the pleasure to publish the script of "The Alpha Centauri Project". Summary and the long description are at the end.

Here is the beginning of the summary:

"This is the story of two women: Eve (35) and Victoria (25). Eve, a former officer of the Special Forces of the Army, a brilliant software scientist with the dream of contributing to the digital people’ civilization by enhancing their programs, commits suicide after being charged with bribery.

Victoria is sucked into a whirlpool while swimming with James, her boyfriend.

After digitization, they both join Net.

Eve is disgusted by the world. She shelters in an outlaw community that fifty years before entered Net with a collective suicide: the Elects. Security, the federal organization in charge of fighting crime, is hunting them.

Victoria believes in perfect love, but her virtual relationship with James is deteriorating fast due to their differences.

When the two women meet, a deep confidence is born. During a heated discussion, Victoria quits James and a few days later, the two women, plucking up their courage, participate in a reproductive rite with the Elects. The community conceives Adam.

Three huge vessels – the Caravels of the Alpha Centauri Project, the boldest enterprise of the Confederation – are in orbit above Mars. The starships will transfer the digital people to the nearest star system, the only way to avoid a war.

The differences between humans and digital beings are deep. Their interests incompatible. Cohabitation is worsening fast. The separation of the two races is now the priority. The Humans have accepted to fund the mission. In exchange, the digital beings have abandoned the idea of expanding on the Earth and are concentrating their efforts in the colonization of other star systems.

The Elects want to participate, but they are on outlaw and they can only board secretly... "
