• Two of American author Charles Alden Seltzer's classic westerns are bound together in this Kindle book: The Trail Horde (1920) while the bitter wind, howling in through the open door, hurled a blinding avalanche of white clear to the fireplace. On the floor in the smother of white was Link, and near him the handle of the axe stuck rigidly upward, its blade buried deeply in the floor..."
The Trail To Yesterday (1913)
An American girl from the East is immersed in the Wild West, an ancient grudge, and the strange tale of Dakota, a man who pretends to be a brute but gradually wins her over.
About The Author
American author Charles Alden Seltzer (1875–1942) was a prolific writer of westerns and his books were turned into more than a dozen Hollywood films.
Along with American writers Zane Grey and William MacLeod Raine, Charles Alden Seltzer is often credited as an originator of the western genre.
He was born in Janesville, Wisconsin, and worked in a variety of jobs to support himself, including as a painter and the editor of a small newspaper. He married Ella Seltzer, and they had three sons and two daughters and during the early years Charles Alden Selzer wrote on paper from the butcher during the years he struggled to become a published author.
His lively and realistic style of western novels is a result of the five years he spent living in New Mexico. By the end of his life, he was mayor of his home-town, North Olmsted, Ohio.
