Robert Kinsington III is kicking himself for how he left Hillary.

He can’t get his mind around one simple reality. His feelings for her are in direct conflict with his job. Their relationship is doomed from the start. The closer they get, the more it will hurt when he inevitably makes the changes necessary for her restaurant, The Mill, to be rebranded as a regional or national chain.

He hates that it will end up destroying the character of the place and he knows she’ll never forgive him for it no matter how much he tries to make her understand he doesn’t like it any more than she does.

Naturally, he has to deal with his father and his obligations to the company and his heritage. That isn’t fun, either.

On the other hand, Hillary surprises him. She’s not incapable of understanding what it means that his hands are tied with The Mill, and she’s willing to give it a go.

He knows his feelings are rapidly growing stronger and he’s delighted to see she feels the same way.

The world seems to conspire against them, though, because an old flame wants a second chance with Robert, and she doesn’t care who she hurts along the way.

How can Hillary and Robert be free to deal with their own dreams?
