The Dark Adventures of Melvin and Shaun

Set between the cold blistering streets of Manchester and Egypt, 2 brothers form an unlikely alliance to search for a golden stone capable of accessing real magic. Melvin Lambert a budding archaeologist and his Brother Shaun the frustrated camera aide, discover among a pile of forgotten books with ancient knowledge a manuscript that reveals the existence of a golden stone. This begins their journey leading them to the night-time desert of Egypt. When digging in search for the stone, dark surroundings quickly invade the environment as they dig up a rotting corpse coming alive. Former human but now a malevolent Spectre that feeds off anger and unhappiness pursues the boys as it senses a deeper unhappiness that lingers within them. Melvin’s lust for power of knowledge over his archaeological colleagues and Shaun’s feelings of unworthiness. The spectre summons a mental hell filled with Zombies, Werewolves and evil spirits to torture the boys into obeying the Spectre’s commands. The Spectre also seeks the golden stone, the only thing capable of trapping dark energies and is deeply threatened by the boys will to remove him from reality and prevent the Spectre’s magical agenda of consuming the world under his own reality.
