Ms. Anna

Family, guns, intrigue, high seas adventure, and a tuna canning factory. Anna is a twenties college graduate in the early 1990s without a job comparable to her education. She works as a part time bartender and pilot of her father’s fishing boat in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, a city that proclaimed itself “the tuna canning capital of the world”. Max is a late thirties academic who was maybe once in the CIA. He is a member of a staid New England lobstering family that has bought one of the tuna plants. Anna and Max team up. They, the boat, its crew, and staff of the tuna plant become embroiled in a high seas adventure that involves smuggling from Cuba and ends in Key West.
