The completion of 'The Price Of Success' was a great accomplishment for its author, Cecelia Douglas- a twenty-four year old barmaid of no spectacular background or heritage. Three years of late nights and alcohol abuse had amounted to a thirty-six chapter novel that told tales of a young budding actress who rose to fame quickly through the guidance of a boldly successful coach and fell catastrophically at the hands of his seduction and betrayal. Little did she know what trouble lay at the hands of her own words.

With little standing out about her beyond the abnormal white-grey eyes she boasted, she imagined that success lay at the end of a long road of rejection letters and independent bookshops. But when her eyes met their twins in the face of Nathaniel Alexander of Alexander Publishing House- a man who settled for nothing less than perfection in his publications- life became a lot less modest and a lot more fictional.

Sweeping Cecelia up as a student of sorts, Nathaniel teaches her the truth emotions that her words should evoke and pushes her into the spotlight, into a life of extravagance and focus. A life she doesn't want.

Both focused on one goal- fireworks- the pair take a treacherous road towards their target. The path is rocky and laid with boulders- boulders that take the form of misunderstandings, compromise, addiction, loss, and the largest of all, Cecelia's violently possessive boyfriend, Cole.

"Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned... and my biggest sin is that I love too much." - Little did she know that the quote from her novel, that was scrawled across the outlandishly extravagant images which promoted its pending release, would be the quote that encompassed her fate.
