When out of work trucker Max Carter takes on a temporary job after being laid off, he doesn't spend too much time in scrutinizing the contract. Within days, Max finds himself serving as a reluctant ghost hunter alongside the determined and earnest (and newly minted) Paranormal Investigator Crystal Johnson.

A series of haunted house investigations, a discovery about Crystal's own past that he didn't see coming, and a secret of Max's own all combine to make for a ghost busting duo like no other. Someone better warn the ghoulies that they're about to hit town.

What a shame that Max never figured any of this into his life plan.
