By year 2230 global warming had reclaimed most of the land on Planet Earth. Only a few hundred thousand people survive in the valleys of the highest mountain ranges. Humans had colonized the Moon and Planet Mars, but those responsible for the colonization were not satisfied with the thought of living under domes until Mars could be completely terraformed, which estimates said could take up to 100000 years. By 2246, the United Space Consortium had just completed the build of human's first Generations Starship while in orbit of the Red Planet and named it Colossus. Now, the first Milky Way Galaxy bound starship ever built was about to begin humanity's first attempt to travel into the stars.
