When It Rains

The North American Continent is in the midst of a thirty-year drought. Water is scarce and rationing is the law of the land. Gasoline is approaching one-hundred dollars a gallon. Unfettered declarations of Eminent Domain have enabled the wealthy to fortify urban areas. The will to survive in such an inhospitable environment is waning. Family is where you find it. Home? Home is where the water is.

This story follows the trials and tribulations of a young woman, Amber, as she abandons here East Texas homestead in search of the last surviving member of her family, a half-brother in a region called Minnesota.
