When orphaned eleven year old Izzy Cummings is shipped off to an uncle and aunt she doesn’t remember, and then learns that they plan to ship her off to boarding school, she tries to find out more about her mysterious past. This leads her on a search for a dog she once had, named Gus, who had been neglected very much as she had.
