The liability of wishes…

Two years had passed since CJ Evermore and the crew of the Altered Moon had a hand in restructuring the face of the known galaxy. Because of them, Humanity discovered finally that it was not alone in the universe. The alien races, the Keect’na and the Kang, became friends and enemies of the Humans, respectively. The combined Human and Keect’na military forces rose against the ruthless Kang warriors and drove them back into the shadows of space. But, for how long?

Prosperous times had settled upon the Altered Moon and her crew since then, with steady work and steady income for the West Becreth Trading Company. Steady is good, but life lately had not exactly been oozing with excitement for CJ and his crewmates. Cursed with an endless yearning for adventure, CJ wished with all his being that at least a little excitement would come their way, but you know what they say…be careful of what you wish for…you might just get it.

A questionable contact in a black market curio shop, a set of deep space coordinates on an old star chart, and a rumor about a deadly curse on the mysterious planetoid to be found there. That was all that it took to stir CJ’s blood and send the crew of the Altered Moon deep into Kang territory for a chance to score the treasure of a lifetime. Now, over a decade since her launch, was the Altered Moon up to the challenge of another voyage around the galaxy?
