Always Remember

Always Remember begins a sensual romance of history in early Texas. The civil war ripped families and lives apart. But Ruby Anderson and her daughters had one thing in mind, to save their family farm. The struggles they faced were bigger than they ever imagined. Facing death, and the Federals was bad enough. They loved as hard as they worked, and Rose and Josey, Ruby's daughters grew up fast as the war curled around their lives.

Rose is engaged to Leroy Van Houghton. Leroy enlisted in the Confederate Army, while his brother Hank hired on to help the Anderson's with their farm. Josey was in love with Leroy too, but he refused to acknowledge in his obligation to honor that she was growing into a beautiful young woman.

As the war rages on, Rose is caught up in the lives of Hank, Jacob (the slave that had been with them for years) and George the oldest on the farm. When she becomes pregnant though, she's not sure who the daddy is. She only hopes it belongs to Jacob her beloved. Despite the dangers, Jacob is her true love.But reality can be a cruel force.

Through carpetbaggers, men dodging the Confederate army,Yankees riding right up in their yard, the farm is constantly in turmoil and so are the lives of the Anderson's. Can they somehow survive all the evils of war and make a life for themselves or will they fall victim to it. Tragedies must be endured and courage enlisted when everything goes so wrong. Out of it all, heroes are born and responsibilities are taken, and some...grow up.
