[Gutenberg 64225] • The Story of Mrs. Tubbs

First published in 1923, this is a slight story spun out to great length in an entirely inappropriate format. Mrs. Tubbs, a very old woman, is turned out of the farmhouse where she's lived all her life by the red-faced nephew of the London owner; with her are her dog, duck and pig (Punk, Ponk and Pink) who scheme to drive the nephew away and eventually succeed, assisted by a swarm of wasps. The little volume consists of page-after-oblong page of large type interspersed with a few black-and-white line drawings. Dolittling--for definitive collections only.
