Power by Moonstone

Joby and his friends Samantha, Evan, and Oliver are part of the few who know about moonstones; these space rocks allow each person to control a certain aspect of nature: from wind, lightning, rain, and fire, to healing wounds. However, while his friends are off at college classes, Joby's stuck with a retail job that he hates, and soon gets involved with a local street art group. His new "friends" seem increasingly more interested in committing crimes than in the art itself, and it isn't long before they want Joby to introduce them to moonstones. Joby's loyalty between his two groups of friends is tested, but all the stress is affecting his aim with his lightning. His unresolved romantic feelings for the ever-busy Samantha aren't helping, either.

Meanwhile Samantha and Evan are still assisting Professor Lemmings with moonstone research. This time, their sights are set on origin stones, more powerful versions of the elemental moonstones. But where did they come from? And what do they have to do with the kitsune, a tribe of magical foxes capable of mastering every element? To find out, Samantha, Evan, Joby, and Oliver must travel to many places, learning the history of the elements along the way. But unknown to them is the evil shadow which watches them, just waiting for its chance to strike...
