Lynne Cameron is on top of the world. She is a Broadway star in the musical Aida. But with her stardom comes a price. She has an undesirable man pursing her. He is willing to destroy her to gain possession of her. Lynne has no alternative but to give up her Broadway stardom and escape to Florida where there is a position for her. But the old building where she is to produce and direct live musicals does not cooperate. She must deal with graffiti, cockroaches and flooding dressing rooms. In addition, she is drawn to a handsome cowboy who recites Shakespeare and nearly steals her heart while he makes her believe he is a simple ranch hand, When she discovers the truth, she finds it hard to believe in the sincerity of his love.
