[Fell Tobias 02] • The Fathering Land

After a short but vicious fight, Fell Tobias and his family have taken the former theme park called Scarborough Faire away from the mind-altering Alfas and their slaves. Now they have to keep it.

Their little community grows rapidly as news of the Boymaker spreads. Tobias, the eight surviving Hero Dixies, and his seven wives are joined by other baseline humans and members of more than a dozen other human races once called "demons." As they sign treaties with other local communities, the newly christened Icarus Township expands to become a Commonwealth. They're even joined by seven new boymakers.

Now that he's established a seat of power, Tobias vows to work toward uniting the nation that fell over 24 years ago, when people of another Earth tried to Step Through to his world, and the two worldlines merged. The twisted reality that resulted has lost most of the populations of both Earths, but Tobias is determined to reconnect the shreds of the progressive Confederate States of America, which was lost on the Day of Ruin when he was a year old.

But there are those who like things the way they are. There are those who prefer to prey on the minotaur, centaur, pooka, and other "Beastkind" branches of humanity… literally. When a cannibalistic empire raids a Commonwealth tribe, an enraged Fell Tobias plans a war of conquest.

But his Deity, the Dawn Goddess Aurora, demands an outrageously disproportionate response. One does not disobey the commands of one's Goddess… but Fell Tobias and his demigod son, Little Magic, can't help but rebel when they realize the implications of Her orders.

Note: This novella includes youthful exuberance, belligerent pixies with swords, a meddlesome Goddess, a world full of strong women, harem themes taken to the extreme, and plenty of violence. You have been warned.
