Heath Chesterfield is just an average guy living in middle America, tagging along with a couple of old friends to a mysterious new mountain embedded into a flat Kansas wheat field. What they find there promises to fulfill all their childhood dreams.

Ex-mercenary Nick Wolfe is sent by his employer strictly to observe a seemingly unmanned alien spacecraft that recently landed in Healy, Kansas. When he finds Heath Chesterfield running from the craft, Nick knows that a simple reconnaissance mission is no longer possible. The two must band together to contain and kill a powerful artificial intelligence or lose everything that makes them human.
