Sent undercover in New Orleans' steamy French Quarter in hopes of cracking a suspected case of rampaging Moneli demons, Gem and his partner find the case harder to crack than they ever imagined. Between the disappearance of Gem's partner and a growing fear that Taskforce I.D.I.O.T. has a dangerous information leak Gem is desperate. He finds himself forced to team up with an intriguing "gifted" human named Angel. If Angel's gifts can keep Gem from literally losing his head and Gem can get Angel to see past his initial misconceptions, the two may find more than the missing Vampire... they may find a love powerful enough to take on all the demons in hell.
