Arthur Pendragon is now a stranger in an even stranger land. Having lost the bulk of his legion, Arthur is forced to land on Britannia, where he finds a powerful ally in Merlin the Mage. The land first seems like a blessing, but treachery manages to find them once more, grasping his father, Uther, in its claws.

Meanwhile, another army unknown to Arthur awaits in the north, insulted by the insolence of the new visitors. Soon, Arthur will have to face them as he familiarizes himself with the ways of this foreign land. But before their arrival, can Arthur come to terms with a newcomer to their camp and the secrets he exposes?
