Kate is a widow with a young daughter. She's lonely at times, but is afraid to enter into a relationship with someone new. For one she feels like she has nothing to offer a man. She also struggles with feeling like she would be cheating on her deceased husband. That all changes when her best friend Mary drags her to a barbecue where she meets James, a handsome man who just happens to be the first person to make her heart race since her husband.
