[Bluebell Cafe 03] • Crimes of the Tart

It's winter in Sevenoaks, Vermont, but Harriet Pickles isn't even close to having the blahs. Her café is doing a brisk business, her relationship with her boyfriend Nick is on steady ground, and to top it off, her favorite TV cooking show is coming to town to film an episode.

But when the night of the TV filming begins with a massive storm and ends with a murder, things take a quick turn. The power is out, the roads are closed, and Nick is snowbound in New York. The only police officer available to work the murder case is Sevenoaks' very own bumbling detective, and he immediately zeros in on a friend of Harriet's as his one and only suspect.

Murder isn't the only thing keeping Harriet up at night. Nick is evading Harriet's calls and spending way too much time with a famous model. She'd ask him what's going on, but she's not sure she wants to hear the answer.

Crimes of the Tart is a cozy mystery with tasty food, a chunky, tutu-wearing English bulldog, and lots of laughs.
