Be Careful What You Wish For!

Struggling with self-conflict and her obsession with being thin, troubled teen Lauren resents her critical mother and her fisherman father's untroubled acceptance of life. When deceased relatives tell her differing stories about her parents, she embarks on a dream-like search to find her real mother, to win back her father’s heart, and to try to make sense of a world filled with contradictions and conflict. Along the way, Lauren encounters confused and confusing people and cultural mores about food, relationships, self-discipline, and love.
