They have both made **choices**.

It's been six years since Aidan Hathaway has seen his best friend and love of his life. When Nic rejected him and chose another man over him, he got on the first plane out of there and never looked back. Instead, he got a good job, bought a house, and made a good life for himself. At least it's the semblance of a good life. Because there's no good life if he doesn't have her. But he's resigned himself to a life without her. So, when a business trip puts her back in contact with Aidan, life comes into perspective for her. But things aren't as easy as that.
