The Mechanics of Love

Adam Wendover is not in a good mood when he walks out of a meeting in

Florence, Colorado, and realizes he is going to have to drive back to Denver

in a snowstorm, and the main interstate is a parking lot. Deciding that all-

wheel drive and luck will give him better odds of getting home, he gambles on

a winding mountain road instead. And then he promptly hits a large rock.

Franklin “Rust” Scott has lived in a small mountain town his entire life.

enjoys running a repair shop and gas station along the highway. He’s just

lead to unexpected things. As the snow melts, choices are made, a relationship

is forged, and things begin to look up for both of them. It all seems so easy,

at least until a character from Adam’s past appears, determined to make him
