Ralph Bland's fifth novel,LONG LONG TIME, introduces readers to Harry Allen, high school and college basketball star, child of the 60s, observer of life, wastrel, wild man, and worshipper of women, especially the lost ethereal woman of his dreams, Yvonne. During the course of the story Harry takes the reader on a wild rambunctious journey from the Cuban Missile Crisis to Post-911, offering his take on what makes the world go around (and possibly end any minute) through his Tennessee-tinted glasses that see life as only he envisions it. It is only until he begins dealing with death and his own mortality that Harry starts learning what all this ruckus he’s been in the middle of for so many years has been all about.

Ralph Bland is the author of ONCE IN LOVE WITH AMY, WHERE OR WHEN, PAST PERFECT, ACE, and a collection of stories, NOT DEAD AGAIN. He lives with his wife and a posse of dogs on the outskirts of Nashville, Tennessee, disguised as a normal person.
