The Hidden Paths to Power

Deana Boller has her dreams, of following the family tradition and becoming an FBI agent, derailed by Ryan Gilpatrick. Ryan's early life is plagued by bullies and gains an obsession with Deana, when she comes to his aid. Ryan's life begins to take a evil turn, when he finds the courage to ask Deana to the homecoming dance, during their sophomore year in high school. Deana isn't one, to judge people by their looks, but the four friends she has and her studies, were all she wanted to focus on. Having no intention of going to the dance, alone or with anyone else, she attempts to gently let him know this. Deana's world turns into a nightmare of death and Ryan's obsession, until she finds the one, who leads her to the skill to fight him. Ryan is an extremely bright individual, with a love for building gadgets, and begins his torment of Deana with his knowledge of science. Later, he finds the path to magical means, and Deana must find help, in the world of real magic, and discovers a life she could never have envisioned, but learns to love.
