Las Vegas construction mogul Jack Harrigan's wife Bridget wants a divorce and half of his milti-million dollar fortune. He has no intention of giving her anything, however. He blackmails a crooked county commissioner into finding someone to kill his wife. What follows turns out to be a comedy of tragic errors as the two men hired to do the job end up killing half of Vegas in an attempt to kill Bridget. The quest involves evrything from the kidnapping of a homicide investigator to an illicit love affair between Bridget and the commissioner's wife, to enough twists and turns and plot changes to make even the most discerning fan of the murder/mystery genre dizzy. This sordid tale of betrayal, blackmail, sex and murder in Sin City can't help but make a reader feel that they are truly being turned down side up.
