A Second Look

An unexpected job offer turns my life upside down. It isn't a boring life, like some may think, just predictable and comfortable. Just like I like it.

Then a client shows up, waving money in my face, telling me all she needs is evidence that a thief is up to no good.  *Investigating him will be easy,* she assures me. *It will be over soon, and you’ll have plenty of money to enjoy after the work is done.*
