The assignment given to Asha and her mentor, Bijan, is to prevent the trade blockade in a coast town called Çiriş. After Bijan and Asha gain the alliance of another clan in the Ascendancy of Unity, the Sacred Band of Çiriş, they are well-equipped to fulfill their charge and return to the headquarters of the Clan of Bahram. The only issue, Asha suspects Bijan is a trader for a different clan. As the mission wages on, Asha finds that maybe not everyone is on the side they say they're on.
