Diary of a Discontent

In the title story of this collection, a disillusioned man records his thoughts about life in a world from which he feels increasingly alienated. He spends his days wandering through the city, spying on his neighbor, impersonating a college professor, and writing controversial essays for the local newspaper - all the while fantasizing about a pseudonymous existence.
