**Sir Archibald Hurd** (1869-1959) was a naval critic and editor of the Naval and Military Record from 1896–1899 and then a journalist with the Daily Telegraph until 1928. Archibald Hurd also authored books with his brother Percy Hurd (1864 – 1950) who was also a journalist, and a Conservative Party politician.
