When James and Billy left the Rusty Spur Ranch on a cattle drive, the future of the ranch was unknown. The ranch had been short staffed and the buildings were falling into disrepair. The two ranch hands took their time on the cattle drive, enjoying the open plains and sleeping under the stars not knowing if they would have a home when they returned.

To their surprise, when they returned to the ranch, it was like an entirely different place; more buildings had been erected, and new staff had the place humming.

One of the biggest shocks was the addition of women to the staff complement. For two ranch hands that had been away for months, the sight of pretty women working in the chow house almost sent them over the edge.

Helen, a strapping and strong cook, had just arrived at the ranch and was working hard to ensure all the new mouths were fed. She knew things were about to change for her when the two handsome cowboys walked into her kitchen - the sparks immediately flying between her and James.

James felt an immediate attraction to the big and beautiful Helen, but he also felt drawn to the lithe and coy Josephine.

With the ranch under attack from bandits, James struggles with protecting the ranch, and choosing between the two women.

When the time comes to decide, who will he pick, and will he be able to protect his chosen lady?
